Local News in Brief : Protesters Block Bus Yard

A group of demonstrators in wheelchairs blocked the entrance to the Torrance Transit District bus yard to protest the agency’s failure to provide access to wheelchairs on its buses.
About two dozen members of the group, Americans Disabled for Accessible Public Transit, blocked two gates at the bus yard beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday, Torrance Police Lt. Susan Rhilinger said.
