HarborPlace, a 215-room hotel, will be built on a 39,444-square-foot parcel of land in downtown San Diego. The property has been the site of ESD Co., an electrical supplies wholesaler, since 1923.
The property was purchased from ESD for $1,775,000 by 197 Partners, a general partnership of Shawn Schraeger, Chris Mortenson and Bud Fisher, all of San Diego. The lot is bounded by 2nd and 3rd Avenues and Island and J Streets, near the Gaslamp Quarter.
Iliff, Thorn & Co. represented both parties.
