Politics 88 : Robertson Sweeps Nevada Delegates

RENO — Former television evangelist Pat Robertson picked up 14 delegates at the Nevada Republican Convention on Saturday for his biggest victory yet and his first delegates since the March 8 Super Tuesday balloting.
The remaining six Nevada delegates elected at the state convention will be committed to Vice President George Bush, who is only a few days away from the total needed to assure his nomination at the national convention in New Orleans.
The overwhelming Robertson victory in Nevada included the election of his Nevada campaign strategist, Steve Wark of Las Vegas, as state GOP chairman.
