A Soviet airliner flying in a spring blizzard crashed into a mountain in Siberia and broke apart, killing 15 passengers and two members of the crew, the Communist Party daily Pravda reported in Moscow. The L-410 twin-turboprop aircraft was flying from Muya, a settlement in the forest, to the regional center of Bagdarin, 3,000 miles southeast of Moscow, when the crash occurred, Pravda said. It was not known if there were survivors. It was the fourth civil air accident involving fatalities in the Soviet Union this year.
