The State : 2 Small Quakes Jar Southland

Two earthquakes shook Southern California, including an aftershock from the Oct. 1 Whittier Narrows temblor, which measured at magnitude 5.9 and caused millions of dollars in damage, Caltech officials said. The aftershock, measuring 3.2, struck at 11:40 a.m. and was centered about four miles southeast of Pasadena. The second quake, measuring 3.0, was felt at 8:53 a.m. 12 miles southeast of San Diego. No damage or injuries were reported in either quake.
