Schwarzenegger plays a Soviet cop on the trail of an international drug smuggler. During filming, a real-life Russian gendarme told Schwarzenegger--who was in a cop’s uniform--to clear out because an American movie star was about to appear.
“He had no idea I was that actor,” Schwarzenegger told us. “I was told to direct traffic, which I did. My father was a policeman in Austria, so I knew how to do it. Eventually, someone realized who I was and we all had a good laugh about it.”
