In sports: The California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section high school baseball and softball pairings will be announced Monday. Wild-card games in both sports will be held Tuesday. First-round softball games will be held Thursday and Friday, and first-round baseball games will be held Friday.
The Southern Section volleyball playoffs will continue Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The Southern Section track and field championships will be held Saturday at Cerritos College.
The Angels are on the road this week.
