PREP BASEBALL : Roundup : Orange Lutheran Beats South Pasadena

Ward Lookabaugh pitched a 3-hitter and struck out 9 to lead Orange Lutheran High School to a 14-0 victory over South Pasadena Friday in a first-round game of the Southern Section 2-A baseball playoffs at Orange Lutheran.
Chris Minogue went 2 for 4 with 4 RBIs for the Lancers (20-7). Minogue also hit a two-out grand slam in the second inning, but it was taken away when an official ruled that the second Orange Lutheran runner didn’t touch home plate. Minogue was credited with a single.
Matt Wilson went 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs, and Dave Elliott went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs. Lookabaugh is 11-2. South Pasadena is 10-10.
In the Small Schools Division:
Claremont 13, Highland Hall 9--Derek Evans went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs and pitched five innings for the victory, as Claremont won its first playoff game ever at Cal State Northridge.
