Flamemaster said its Chem Seal division received a $2.5-million contract to provide sealants to the U.S. government, the biggest sealants contract in the company’s 45-year history.
Shipments of the sealants, which are used mostly to protect aircraft fuel tanks, are to begin next month, Flamemaster said. The contract lasts a year.
In addition to sealants, the Sun Valley company manufactures fire-retardant coatings and specialized cabinets for storing flammable liquids and hazardous wastes.
