Southern Section 3-A Playoffs : Roundup : Orange Lutheran Eliminated, 11-10

Gladstone High School scored the winning run on three consecutive hit batters and a walk in the eighth inning for an 11-10 victory over Orange Lutheran in a Southern Section 2-A baseball playoff game Tuesday at Covina.
Chris Minouge and Rich Gress hit home runs for Orange Lutheran (20-8), which built a 10-4 lead after four innings.
Gladstone scored four in the first and six in the fifth to tie it, 10-10. Marco Contreras hit a two-run home run in the fifth and also was walked in the eighth for the game-winning RBI for Gladstone (17-9). Ward Lookabaugh took the loss for Orange Lutheran.
In the Small Schools Division:
Chadwick 5, Claremont 2--Greg O’Riordian threw a 2-hitter, striking out 10, to lead host Chadwick (14-8). O’Riordian (8-4) gave up two unearned runs. Greg Swartz and Tom Moore each drove in a run for Chadwick, which scored three unearned runs. Tom Patraw and Derek Evans had an RBI each for Claremont (10-6-1).
