Hawaiian Gardens : Survey on Seniors Housing
- Share via
Hawaiian Gardens officials will mail a questionnaire to all households in the city as a guide for planning a housing project for senior citizens which will be sponsored by the city Redevelopment Agency.
The questionnaire will ask senior citizens whether they would use such housing if it is provided, whether they would be willing to buy condominiums if the complex includes such units, and whether they own cars, among other questions.
The Redevelopment Agency, at its last meeting, approved the questionnaire and authorized the city to begin negotiating with Los Alamitos-based Statewide Developers.
The complex would be built on 2.5 acres at 226th Street and Norwalk Boulevard which was purchased from the El Dorado Park Community Church in December.
