Lockheed Missiles & Space Co. was charged in a lawsuit of billing the government more than $10 million for work it allegedly never performed. The suit against the Silicon Valley manufacturer, a unit of Lockheed Corp. and a major defense contractor, was filed in U.S. District Court in January by Martin Overbeek Bloem, currently a Lockheed engineer, and Margaret Newsham, a software management analyst at the firm until 1984. But it was kept under seal until Wednesday. A company spokeswoman denied that any false claims had been filed on government contracts.
