Bobby Humphrey, University of Alabama tailback, suffered a broken jaw early Saturday in an attack at a Tuscaloosa nightspot that left another Crimson Tide player slightly injured, Coach Bill Curry said.
The attack, which Curry described as “totally unprovoked,” occurred between 1:30 and 2 a.m. Vantreise Davis, a junior linebacker, suffered minor bruises.
Curry said Humphrey should be available for Alabama’s season opener at Temple Sept. 10.
