Smoking Hazard
Motorists who throw their cigarette butts out of the car window or dump their ashtrays at stoplights are not only disgusting, they’re in violation of the California Vehicle Code. While smokers have the right to pollute their lungs while driving, they don’t have a right to spread their dirty habits to public streets. This nasty habit can be lethal if it’s done in dry vegetated areas such as much of California is this summer.
Smokers, use your ashtrays, please. That’s what it’s for.
