Lawrence D. Clapp has been appointed to oversee the activities of 19 Los Angeles area Bank of America branches as head of the bank’s Los Angeles Area Management Group. Clapp, a vice president, previously was marketing director of the bank’s Los Angeles-Gold Coast Region. He succeeds John Conover, who was promoted to senior vice president and head of B of A’s 219-branch Bay Area region in Northern California.
