SAN FRANCISCO — A fire lieutenant and a chief’s aide will receive letters of censure as a result of an investigation involving a swastika placed in the office of two minority San Francisco firefighters, Chief Frederick Postel disclosed Wednesday.
Postel told the Fire Commission that the letters will be sent to Lt. Francis Loughran and James Scott.
The chief also said Assistant Chief Robert Korbus had been charged with violating his duties and making racially offensive remarks in connection with the January incident at Station 13 in the Financial District. But no charges will be lodged against Korbus, who is on disability leave and will retire Oct. 1, Postel said.
