The body of a woman was found near a wrecked car off a rural road north of Vista on Tuesday night. The coroner’s office said Thursday that the car and its driver had been there at least a week.
Susan Nanette Kane, 37, of Valley Center, apparently died of massive head and chest injuries when her car ran off the side of Gopher Canyon Road near Ormsby Street, then went down an embankment and struck a tree, throwing her from the car, a CHP spokeswoman and coroner’s deputies said.
