The “Sunday in the Park” picnic held at Moss Point in Laguna Beach on Aug. 14 raised about $24,000 for the Friendship Shelter in Laguna Beach. Mary Miller was chairwoman.
The Sarna & Woodley golf tournament held at the Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach on July 25 raised about $29,000 for the Olive Crest Treatment Centers for Abused Children. George Woodley and Gary Sarna were co-chairmen.
