It was announced Thursday that Silvana De Laurentiis, wife of movie producer Dino De Laurentiis, filed a petition for divorce Wednesday, one day after De Laurentiis’ American production company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Silvana De Laurentiis is suing for an end to their 34-year marriage on the grounds of irreconcilable differences, the Los Angeles Superior Court petition stated. The couple separated Sept. 9, 1987. De Laurentiis Entertainment Group lost $20 million last year, and listed $199.7 million in liabilities and $163 million in assets as of July 31 on its bankruptcy petition. Dino De Laurentiis now has a Los Angeles production company called Paradise Films.
