A Beverly Hills investor has lifted his stake in Trio-Tech International from 5% to 6.3%. Trio-Tech, based in San Fernando, makes testing equipment for the semiconductor industry.
Richard M. Horowitz, president of Management Brokers Insurance Agency, said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that he bought the stock as an investment and has no plans to seek control of the company.
Horowitz’s filing said he bought an additional 36,600 Trio-Tech common shares between July 5 and Aug. 12 at prices between $1.375 and $1.50 a share. Horowitz controls 171,600 of Trio-Tech’s 2.72 million total common shares outstanding, the filing said.
