Homicide detectives are investigating the death Monday of an Ocean Beach woman. Patricia Ann Richardson, 47, of the 1700 block of Ocean Front Street, died shortly after being taken to Sharp Cabrillo Hospital about 8 p.m., San Diego police spokesman Dave Cohen said.
Her body was bruised and a deputy coroner found blood in the woman’s stomach, Cohen said, indicating a beating.
Police said the woman’s estranged husband called paramedics. Investigators are awaiting a coroner’s report establishing the cause of death before taking further action, Cohen said.
