Sudan imposed censorship on foreign journalists after criticism abroad of government handling of flood relief aid. Information Minister Abdullah Mohammed Ahmed announced that all reports, photographs and videotapes must be submitted to his ministry for approval before being sent overseas. He accused foreign journalists of reporting “rumors and wrong information on foreign relief and its distribution” to victims of floods that have killed 73 people and made 2 million homeless.
