L.A.’s Greatest Band

The Doors!
You took me back to the London Fog, 1966, where I sat listening to four guys I knew who’d never “make it”--I thought.
Robbie played searing bottleneck guitar. Ray seemed to know how to make his keys sound intricate and “out there.” John’s drums tended to lag some, but he was inspiring on solos, and Jim, a staggering super doll who could barely sing.
Fun guys to know--but a rock band? I sure was wrong!
