Pier 1 Imports, Ft. Worth, has named Clark A. Johnson chairman and Marvin J. Girouard president and chief operating officer. Johnson, who continues as chief executive, previously was president and chief executive. Girouard previously was senior vice president-merchandising. Charles R. Scott, who had been chairman, has moved to the newly created position of vice chairman. Scott also is president of Intermark, a La Jolla company that controls 57% of Pier 1’s voting shares.
