George H. Kennedy, 74, commissioner in the 1960s and ‘70s for both the Los Angeles City Department of Water and Power and the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Commission. Former owner of Kennedy Outdoor Advertising Co., once one of the city’s largest billboard firms, Kennedy also was active in civic activities in the San Gabriel area. In Los Angeles on Aug. 21 of complications of a stroke.
