Local News in Brief : Countywide : Red Cross Planning Drives for Blood

The Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross is seeking blood donors, particularly those with Type O negative or positive blood, which is in short supply.
Community blood drives will be conducted at these county locations:
Monday from 3 to 7:45 p.m. in Dernfield Hall of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 600 St. Andrews Road, Newport Beach. For appointments, call (714) 631-2880.
Monday from 10:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Education Center of Martin Luther Hospital, 1830 Romneya Drive, Anaheim. For appointments, call (714) 871-1436.
Sept. 17 from 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking area of the Anaheim United Methodist Church, 1000 S. State College Blvd., Anaheim. For appointments, call (714) 637-1645.
Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health.
