Tex. A&M; on Football Probation

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. — Texas A&M; University’s football program today was slapped with a two-year probation and a ban on postseason bowl appearances this year after the NCAA found violations in the school’s football operation. Texas A&M; was accused by the NCAA of 31 rule infractions and seven procedural violations in a letter released April 4. Among the charges was an allegation that a coach lied to NCAA investigators.
