A Los Angeles real estate development company said it has offered NWA Inc., parent of Northwest Airlines, $200 million cash on behalf of a client for a 50,000-square-foot property in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. According to the Los Angeles firm, KOAR Inc., the property is developed with low-rise buildings used to house NWA employees. KOAR said its client is Koshin Corp., a Japanese real estate company that has been unsuccessful in earlier efforts to initiate talks with NWA about a possible purchase of the property. NWA has owned the land for more than 30 years.
