The identities of two victims of the crash of a single-engine plane remained unknown Saturday because the bodies were burned beyond recognition when the craft exploded on impact in the rural Tulare County community of Springville, authorities said. “We don’t know who they are or where they were coming from,” Sheriff’s Deputy Bill Young said. The plane crashed about 6:30 p.m. Friday behind a residence at Balch Park Road. A one-acre grass fire was extinguished within two hours. The plane crashed while trying to land at an airstrip east of Porterville.
