November Completion targeted for Addition

A $6.5-million expansion of the Airtel Plaza hotel in Van Nuys is expected to be completed in November, according to the contractor, Los Angeles-based Lusk Construction Co.
The project at the hotel at 7277 Valjean Ave., at Van Nuys Airport, includes adding 77 rooms, bringing the total to 280, as well as the construction of a 4,200-square-foot ballroom. Richard Magee & Associates, Los Angeles, is project architect.
