Chaminade 27, St. Francis 14--Chaminade quarterback Greg Baumgartner connected with wide receiver Jeff Burdick for scoring passes of 15, 68 and 6 yards at Calabasas High.
The Eagles took a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter on a 68-yard punt return by Jon Wynott.
The Golden Knights did not score until the third quarter, when tailback Luis Patino dashed 42 yards to narrow the margin to 21-7. St. Francis’ Manny Bravo added a touchdown on a 92-yard punt return with 1:16 to play to conclude the scoring.
