Laguna Hills Retirement Complex Opens

The Wellington at Laguna Hills, a 234-unit retirement complex will open this weekend on about 8 acres at Moulton Parkway and Via Iglesia.
The $27-million project was developed by a joint-venture partnership between Birtcher, of Laguna Nigel, a commercial developer, and Aetna Life & Casualty Insurance Co. of Hartford, Conn. This is Birtcher’s first retirement project.
Units include studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments with 505-1,200 square feet of floor space. Rents range from $1,600-$2,800 a month.
