Channel Islands 9, Huntington Park 0--The Channel Islands defense held the Spartans to 11 yards in the first half and 34 in the game at Hueneme High.
Chris Mesa kicked a 36-yard field goal with 6:14 left in the first half to give Channel Islands a 3-0 intermission lead. Rod Jones ran up the middle for 8 yards and the only touchdown with 4:31 to play.
Running back John Johnson, who was not expected to play after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery last week, led the Raiders with 104 yards in 16 carries.
