Village Christian 23, Maranatha 7--Quarterback Drew Martenson completed 6 of 15 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown and ran for another touchdown to lead the Crusaders to their sixth win without a loss in an Alpha League opener at San Marino High.
Village Christian built a 23-0 lead through 3 quarters, holding Maranatha to 47 total yards in the first half.
