Datron Systems Profit Climbs to $880,000 in 2nd Quarter

Datron Systems said its profit nearly doubled to $880,000, or 30 cents a share, in the second quarter ended Sept. 30 as sales rose 21% to $8.9 million.
The Simi Valley defense electronics firm cited record new orders. For the six months, Datron’s profit rose 75% to $1.5 million, or 50 cents a share, as sales climbed 15% to $16.6 million.
