Mark Schubert, coach of the Mission Viejo Nadadores from 1972-1985 and coach of the Mission Bay Makos in Boca Raton, Fla., since then, has been named to succeed Richard Quick as the women’s swim coach at the University of Texas. Schubert, 39, is taking over a program that won 5 national titles under Quick, who is now the women’s swim coach at Stanford.
