A federal judge in Phoenix ordered the promoters of EuroTrim Diet Patches, advertised nationwide by President Reagan’s son, Michael Reagan, to stop advertising, the Postal Service said. The injunction will be in effect until the promoters can produce scientific evidence that the patches aid in weight loss, said Steve Schneringer, a postal inspector in Pasadena. The principal defendants in the suit operated Twin Star Productions of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Ameuro Sciences International of Thousand Oaks. Michael Reagan, who was not named as a defendant, said he was nothing more than a hired actor in the product promotion, the Postal Service said.
