The World : Montenegro Leaders Quit

The government of Yugoslavia’s southern republic of Montenegro has resigned in the wake of widespread unrest and a no-confidence vote by the regional Parliament, official news reports said. Montenegrin Premier Vuko Vukadinovic submitted his “irrevocable resignation” at a Parliament session in the regional capital of Titograd after he learned that five of his Cabinet members, including Interior Minister Lazar Djodjic, had failed to win a confidence vote in secret balloting by the Parliament, Belgrade radio said. Vukadinovic said his 25-member Cabinet resigned along with him, the broadcast reported.
