Cal State Northridge will open its men’s basketball season tonight with an exhibition game against the University of British Columbia in the CSUN gymnasium at 7:30.
Northridge was 15-12 last season, 7-7 in the California Collegiate Athletic Assn. and qualified for the conference’s postseason tournament. CSUN lost to Bakersfield, the CCAA regular-season co-champion, 57-56, in the first round.
Center Todd Bowser, a junior who averaged 14.3 points and 7.8 rebounds a game, is the only returning full-time starter. Alan Fraser and Jermal Baker were part-time starters.
Northridge opens its regular season at home against UC Davis on Nov. 25.
