Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Bicyclist, 21, Struck, Killed at Intersection

A 21-year-old bicyclist was hit and killed by a pickup truck when he crossed an intersection on a red light, authorities said.
The bicyclist, whose name is being withheld pending notification of relatives, was hit about 7:35 p.m. Thursday at La Palma Avenue at Lemon Street, Anaheim police said.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was declared dead on arrival, police said.
Witnesses told police they saw the bicyclist try to cross the intersection against the red light.
Driver of the pickup, a 31-year-old Norco man, was not cited, police said. An investigation is continuing.
