Mitchell Butler, a 6-5 1/2 195-pound forward from Oakwood High School in North Hollywood, has orally committed to sign with UCLA. Butler, who was named the Southern Section Small Schools Division player of the year his sophomore and junior seasons, said he will sign a national letter of intent Nov. 9, the first day of the early signing period.
Butler, who averaged 31 points and 16 rebounds last season, choose UCLA over Duke, Arizona and Cal and is expected to play off-guard for the Bruins.
