Hanson Trust, the British conglomerate with huge U.S. interests, said it sold two North American businesses that were part of its 1986 acquisition of SCM Corp. The sales of Carrollton, Ohio-based Allied/Egry & Walton Printing Co. and General Paint of Mexico Inc. bring to $1.3 billion the total proceeds that Hanson has realized so far from selling unwanted businesses acquired as part of its $930-million purchase of SCM.
