Scoggin Takes Year Off From University Duties

Steve Scoggin, athletic director and boys’ basketball coach at University High School, has stepped down from both jobs for a year for personal reasons, he said Tuesday.
Scoggin will remain at the school as a physical education teacher. Scoggin also said no replacement has been named for either position. Scoggin came to University as the boys’ basketball coach in 1983.
University was 8-15 overall last season, 3-7 in the Sea View League.
