Mikhail Baryshnikov, artistic director of American Ballet Theatre, will not dance with the company during its Nov. 29-Dec. 10 engagement at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Hopes had been raised by the announcement that Mark Morris’ “Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes” would be among the works performed, as Baryshnikov had danced the piece twice recently in New York. But according to ABT press spokeswoman Elena Gordon, he will not dance the piece, or any other piece, in Orange County.
