Southland Corp. posted a net loss of $46.8 million on revenue of $2.18 billion for the third quarter. The Dallas-based company blamed the loss on interest and other expenses attributable to the company’s December, 1987, leveraged buyout. The company noted that its 7-Eleven convenience stories posted strong operating results for the quarter.
