On Chin

The name of playwright Frank Chin is not unfamiliar to most Chinese-Americans.
His attack on Tony-award winner David Henry Hwang, with its racist remarks, was very disturbing to me (Calendar Letters, Nov. 6).
The democratic process accords us the opportunity to view all sides. To Chin, I pose the question: Where is your latest work? When will the public be able to see and hear your point of view through your writing?
In the bitter tone of his letter, did I read envy of a brother Asian’s success? Pity, pity, a waste of time and talent.
