This is to thank Jerry Hulse for continually recommending excellent lodgings here in Southern California. My wife and I saved a clipping from a 1984 “Travel Tips,” in which he lauded The San Lorenzo Inn, 777 San Lorenzo Road, Palm Springs 92262. We found it to be one of the nicest and most beautiful of any small hotel we’ve ever visited. It has large kitchens and private patios. Our room overlooked a rose garden and pool. Cost was only $45 a night.
