Prostitutes in Bombay Stage Protest March

NEW DELHI — Hundreds of Indian prostitutes took to the streets of Bombay on Tuesday to demand schools and medical help for their children, United News of India said.
It said they began their march from the notorious red light district of India’s commercial capital, where many prostitutes are viewed as being treated little better than slaves.
The women, some accompanied by their children, also demanded protection from loan sharks and government help to get out of debt.
