Boeing Co. announced that Australia’s Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services has ordered 22 planes at a cost of about $1 billion. Ansett, a domestic carrier in Australia, is a joint venture between News Corp Ltd., headed by Rupert Murdoch, and TNT Ltd. The aircraft manufacturer said the order consists of six 767-300 extended-range jetliners and 16 of the 757 models, plus options on an additional seven 767 aircraft. Deliveries of the 767s are scheduled for October, 1990 through 1993. The 757s will be delivered between October, 1990 and 1995.
