Local News in Brief : Freeway Accident Victim Identified

A motorist killed in a traffic accident on the southbound San Diego Freeway in Sherman Oaks was identified Wednesday as Antonio Barrera Ayala.
Ayala, 68, of Los Angeles was killed after his pickup slammed into the back of a disabled truck, overturned and exploded into flames Tuesday at 7:20 p.m., authorities said.
The accident occurred just north of the Ventura Freeway interchange. There were no other injuries, authorities said.
